MORE INFORMATION & TIPS:

  • British Nationals. Starting from 12 October 2025, the new entry/exit system will apply to British nationals, too. Please note, people travelling from the UK will not need a Visa but there will be an ETIAS system in place. This new electronic system will replace the physical stamping of passports; this means people will get their fingerprints and photo taken when first entering or leaving the Schengen area. Travel companies will have information on the changes, or you can check them at the UK government website here.
  • Among the required Documents for a Visa Application, you might need a Letter of Invitation/Participation (e.g., participation in Conferences, enrolment in Schools).
    1. We can provide you with an official letter, outlining your role as participant and, if applicable, any costs that were funded for you to attend.
    2. It may be helpful to obtain also a letter from your home institution with similar details.
